Skincare From Your Fridge

By Allison Saunders Beauty awaits you. Not at the make-up counter. Not at the day spa. Not at the plastic surgeon. It awaits you in your kitchen. Your best skin care secrets can come from your diet secrets. After all, you are what you eat. So, in the words of Italian mothers everywhere Mangia! When it comes to eating for beauty, the rule is: the fresher, the better. Avoid processed foods whenever possible. The fresher your foods, the more nutrient packed. Keep that in mind when planning and preparing meals. Shop like the Europeans. Buy what you need for a few days, not an entire week. Cook things healthfully, eat from all food groups and vary your diet. Eat your veggies. Fresh vegetables, when available, are preferable to canned or frozen. Raw produce has a greater concentration of vitamins and minerals. Less time at the stove, thats attractive. All vegetables are beneficial. So, if canned is all youve got itll do. But remember to hit the market tomorrow. Green leafy vegetables are high in beta-carotene which is essential for healthy hair, eyes and skin. Sprouts prevent wrinkles and age spots. Include some on your dinner menu tonight. Fresh fruit are great for you any time of day. Sweeten up your breakfast, indulge in a fruity mid-day snack, have a healthy dessert. Cantaloupe is high in vitamins A and C, which promotes healing and controls oil on skin and scalp. Tomatoes (yes, they are a fruit) are packed with A (wrinkle and pimple fighter) and beta-carotene. Citrus fruits provide great doses of vitamin C. Again, fresh is best. What a sweetly indulgent way to take care of yourself! Proteins are building blocks. Turkey, chicken, fish, eggs, lean beef and soy all provide protein and B vitamins which support hair and nail health, and youthful skin. Prepared healthfully, theyll satisfy your appetite and your form. Fish, like salmon and sardines, are full of protein and Omega 3 which promotes glowing skin. Drink water. Lots of water. It purifies you all the way down to your cells, and speeds the regeneration of damaged tissue. So, even if you arent at your best now, you soon can be. Health and happiness equal beauty. When you eat goof foods, you're nurturing your body. When youre nurtured, you feel good. When you feel good, you smile. When you smile, you look good. So eat and enjoy your way to a healthier, happier, prettier you. ---------------------------------------------------------- Allison Saunders is a MAC qualified Make-up Artist and the author of an amazing new course, "Hollywood Makeup Secrets" a step-by-step simple video system for maximizing your inner and outer beauty potential. Air Compressors - Choosing the Best
by aeriel kotval - Tuesday, March 4 2008, 05:54 AM
Anyone in the world
By Timothy Anderson Youre searching for the perfect air compressor for your needs, so as any consumer would, you pay a visit to your local hardware store. There, you find yourself immersed in a variety of brands and models, all with different features. You decide to wait on making a purchase and shop on the Internet. The only problem is that on the Internet you find even more brands, models, and features so many, in fact, that you become completely confused. What do you do now? The answer is simple. Just follow this guide to purchasing air compressors and you wont go wrong. Make a list of the features that you need. Do you want a fairly quiet air compressor? How much horsepower do you want? What should your air compressor weigh? Are you interested in an air compressor with a folding handle? How about one with wheels? Before you make any decisions concerning air compressors, determine exactly what you want based on what you will be using it for. For example, will you be using your air compressor at home, in your garage, on a job site, or in a shop? The location in which you use it will most often determine how heavy you want it to be as well as how loud of a noise it makes. If you are going to be using it on a job site, you may opt for one with wheels so that it is easy to transport. Consider the pump. The pump is one of the main features of air compressors. Basically, there are three types of pumps to choose from: Invector pumps, Direct Drive pumps, and Belt-Drive pumps. Invector pumps are found in the more lightweight air compressors. Air compressors with Invector pumps often have universal motors and air cooling systems. They also usually last for a long period of time. If you are purchasing an air compressor for the first time, and are unsure how often you will actually be using it, one with an Invector pump may be right for you. On the other hand, air compressors with Direct-Drive pumps have standard induction motors, which last approximately 500 or more hours. They take no oil, so they do not require any oil changes. This can be perfect for someone who only uses it once in a while. Direct Drive air compressors are typically smaller in size. Lastly, air compressors with Belt-Drive pumps are the quietest ones on the market. Many businesses prefer this type, as they are not a distraction to employees working around the air compressors. Air compressors with Belt-Drive pumps require more maintenance than Invector and Direct Drive compressors. They need oil and filter changes about every 500 hours. Power. Finally, determine how much power you need your air compressor to have. You can do this by considering what you will be using it for. Will you use it as an inflator, with a stapler, with a spray gun, or a grinder? Each takes more and more pounds of air per square inch. This is why the type of air compressor you decide to buy depends completely upon what you will be using it for and how often you will be using it. Timothy Anderson writes for PowerfulChecklists.com. Just know want you want will come. Be willing to receive. If you have negative energy in mind, that's what you get negative resultsprophecy fulfilled. 2. Is your unconscious mind wanting something else? Heres how to get all your minds aligned. After I left my corporate day job, I discovered I was fighting myself. You see, I didn't REALLY want clients. I wanted money. I just thought clients equaled money. When I realized that clients would fill my time and take away from my freedom, I didn't really want them. Once I knew that I could have fun, freedom and financial prosperity by working with clients, I had a shift. Then I was aligned with my conscious and unconscious thoughts and energies. 3 What do you REALLY want? This might seem silly, but you to know what you want with crystal- ball clarity. Make Your Rose garden Bloom - Successful Rose Gardening Tips You Can Easily Implement
by aeriel kotval - Saturday, March 1 2008, 09:21 PM
Anyone in the world
By Tim Gorman Many of the tasks that need to be done in the garden are the same for most types of plants. So if you've recently added roses to your garden, you will find that you're already many of the required tasks to keep them healthy and flourishing. Still, there are some particularly things that need to give your roses the proper care and attention they need. Here are some tips to remember when maintaining and cultivating your rose garden. When you're first planting out your rose garden, make sure you allow plenty of room between the rose bushes. Leave at least eighteen inches between standard garden varieties, up to thirty inches between bushes, and as much as eight to twelve feet between climbing roses. Miniature roses aren't as fussy, and can be planted as close as twelve inches apart. If your roses are smothered and competing for the available food and water, they won't thrive and reward you for your effort. It's important to give your rose garden plenty of water. Roses are very thirsty flowers, and it's important to make sure you always saturate your roses when watering. Don't make the mistake of thinking that sprinkling your rose bush with the house for five minutes a day is sufficient. Take the time to soak the soil around your rose bush thoroughly, so that the water can seep down deep into the soil and supply plenty of water for your roses to drink. Roses love the sunshine, so make sure you plan your rose garden to maximize the amount of sunlight your roses receive. However, rose blooms can get burnt by the sun, so if you live in an area that's particularly sunny and warm, you might want to be careful about which breeds of roses you plant in your garden. Your local nursery should be able to help. Even so, most roses like to receive at least six hours of sunlight a day, so plan accordingly. If your garden is a little shadier than that, take the time to choose shade tolerant varieties. By planning your rose garden sensibly in the first place, and then taking the time to give your roses what they need, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful rose garden that all your friends will envy. Gardening - Lawn Maintenance Chores Part VI
by aeriel kotval - Friday, February 29 2008, 08:35 AM
Anyone in the world
By Michael Russell In this sixth article in our series on lawn gardening chores we're going to discuss a little about maintaining your lawn using a low maintenance program. There are several reasons that someone might choose a low maintenance program for their lawn. One reason is expense. Maintaining a lawn so that it looks like a professional job takes a lot of money. Seed is not cheap, neither is soil, fertilizer, chemicals and tools. Maintaining a lawn on high maintenance can cost you hundreds of dollars a year or more. Some people just don't have the extra money. Another reason someone might choose a low maintenance program for their lawn is time. They may work a very demanding full time job requiring lots of overtime or may even have more than one job. Maintaining a lawn on high or even medium maintenance requires a lot of time and some people just don't have it. Another reason people might choose a low maintenance program is because they are physically unable to do the work required, such as the elderly, people who have allergies or people who just simply do not have a green thumb and wouldn't have a clue where to begin. Other reasons could be that their lawn is situated so that it is difficult to care for, such as lawns that are on high hills or have trees all around. For these people low maintenance is hard enough. Then there are those people who are just plain lazy. The last thing they want to do is spend their time on the lawn mowing, raking, seeding, fertilizing, laying down chemicals and weeding. They'd much rather be inside watching a good ball game. So just what is involved in a low maintenance program? Actually, not very much. For starters you'll probably only cut your lawn once every 3 or 4 weeks unless it rains so much that the grass grows to the point where the town comes and threatens to give you a summons. Some people only mow their lawn every 6 weeks, especially in the summer. And then after the grass is cut the trimmings are left on the lawn in order to regenerate nitrogen. As for fertilizing, you might do this once per each season. Some people only fertilize once a year and others not at all. These type of lawns are allowed to go dormant during the hot summer months. The leaves are allowed to turn brown and the appearance looks quite dried out. Basically, these lawns rely on natural conditions for survival. If the summer is hot and dry then most likely the grass will die as people who choose a low maintenance program never water their lawns. These lawns are usually only green during the cooler months where there is enough rain to keep them green. Many parks adopt a low maintenance program because there just isn't enough time and money in the town budget to care for these large areas. However, there are some residential people who for whatever reason stated above just let their lawns go the way of the weather. ------------------------------------------------------- Michael Russell Your Independent guide to Gardening ------------------------------------------------------- Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell http://EzineArticles.com/?Gardening---Lawn-Maintenance-Chores-Part-VI&id=134184 what is ambien side effects ambien lorazepam muscle fda vizcaino zolpidem

by aeriel kotval - Thursday, February 28 2008, 03:04 AM
Anyone in the world
By Mansi Aggarwal In todays technical world, it is easier than ever to attend college and receive an associated degree in accounting. With the advent of the online classroom, college students can stay at home and continue their full time job while earning their degree. An associates degree earned by enrolling in the accounting program of an accredited university will allow the student to achieve their goals of advancing in the growing field and increased earnings. The field of accounting has never been stronger. An associates degree in this area will allow the student to have the qualifications to work in many different positions. An associates degree in accounting can be earned in less than two years by enrolling in an online university program. Online programs are generally done at the students own pace and often allow life experience credit. This means that if the student already has some accounting experience, such as work as a bookkeeper, that work may count as credits toward fulfilling the requirements of the program. Another advantage to online programs is that the student can do his work at a time convenient to him. Online programs are not restricted to the time and day format of a land based institution. The credentials earned by receiving an associates degree in accounting online will give the student the degree employers are looking for when choosing to fill positions in positions such as Assistant to Comptroller, Purchasing Agents, Staff Accountants and many government accounting openings. The degree will also qualify the student to open their own accounting business doing personal or company books, federal and state income taxes and investment advice. An online associates degree in accounting is the first step to a rewarding career in this ever expanding field. A prospective student should research to make sure that the online college or university of his choice is fully accredited insuring that credits earned can be applied to future studies in preparation for either a bachelors or masters Degree in the future. Once the college or university is chosen, the student has taken the first step to greater earning potential and a more rewarding career. After enrollment, the student will receive all textbooks and other materials needed for the class. By studying hard, participating in the online classroom and completing assignments, the student can expect to have a degree diploma to list on their resume in no more than two years. Screening Job Applicants - What Really Goes On Behind Closed Doors?
by aeriel kotval - Wednesday, February 27 2008, 11:48 AM

By Jason Adams The first goal of any hiring manager is not to find a candidate, but to ELIMINATE unqualified candidates. Most hiring managers reading your resume will take the pile of up to 500 letters they received and try to separate the definite "no's' (Don't Call) into one pile and the interesting resumes into the second pile (Might Call). They then go back and eliminate again until what they have is a manageable pile (5-10 max) of pre-qualified candidates (To Call). Getting into the second pile (Might Call) is your first goal. The first cut may take you from a stack of 500 resumes to a smaller yet still intimidating stack of 20. At 20 resumes, the reader will spend 2-3 minutes on each resume versus just a few seconds the first time through. The objective here for the hiring manager is to take the stack of 20 down to a more manageable 5-10 resumes mentioned above. At 5-10 resumes, the reader will be spending some quality time reading what you have written. They may be highlighting and making notes about the things that interest them the most or closely align with what they are looking for. A few more resumes will be eliminated during this round, but not necessarily put back into the Don't Call pile. These candidates go into the Might Call pile but will only be called only if the hiring manager cannot find enough qualified candidates from 4-8 resumes they have left. This is the To Call pile that you want to end up in. The hiring manager begins to make some calls and do some initial phone interviews. From here a few more people may be eliminated for a variety of reasons. Some of the people may have already taken other positions or the hiring manager does not like the candidate enough to invite him or her in for a face-to-face interview. The hiring manager will keep interviewing until they have invited 3-5 people in for a personal interview. As the realistic numbers I've indicated above reveal, in order to be invited in for an interview, you'll need to have a resume and cover letter better than 495 other candidates. Notice I did not say you needed more education, better experience or more years on the job than the other people applying for the same job. You just need to have better paperwork..."you just need a better story." This will be the topic of a future article. Advertising and Promotion on a Shoestring Budget
by aeriel kotval - Monday, February 25 2008, 07:14 AM
Anyone in the world
By Kristy Pruitt A home business is the most economical way to be your own boss. You dont have to rent office space, theres no commute, and your expenses are tax deductible. Still, you will have to get the word out about your business if you want customers. Here are some ways to save money. Business cards are a must, but many people dont get them right away because of the cost. What they dont realize is that there are ways to get them very inexpensively! If you have a word processing or desktop publishing program on your computer, you can make your own. Many programs have templates for business cards, and some even have pre-designed ones that you can simply customize with your own information. You can find printable sheets of business cards at your local discount store or specialty paper store. If you arent inclined to make your own or want a more professional look, VistaPrint has a low cost introductory offer. You get 250 customized business cards for the price of shipping and handling. Once you have your cards, leave them everywhere! Offline advertising is another scary budget item, but there are ways to save money. A good, low cost way to advertise offline is in local classified-only publications. Classifieds in this type of paper are usually cheap, and they can be quite effective depending on the type of business you are in. Another inexpensive idea is flyers. If you have a computer they are a cinch to design and print yourself. Then you can put them on bulletin boards or hand them out personally. Online, there are many places to advertise. The trick is identifying your target market and getting your message to them. If you are advertising to the wrong people, you are just wasting your money. Find sites that do not offer the same product or service as you, but something else that would interest your target market. For example, if you are selling educational toys, you would want to advertise on a site that offers products or resources for parents, but probably not a site about car parts. Shopping around is also a must. Find several possible sites, check their prices and research the sites popularity. If you have the Google Toolbar, you can simply go to a site and its pagerank will be displayed in your browser. This tells you the "importance" of the page, based on how many other sites have links to it on their site. You should try to stay with sites with a pagerank of at least 3, the higher the better; however, the sites with higher pageranks usually charge more for advertising. There is also pay-per-click advertising, in which you bid the amount you are willing to pay for visitors to be sent to your site. The best thing about this type of advertising is that you only pay for the traffic you receive. There are many different pay-per-click programs available. Some are presented in search engines, others sign up other sites to display the ads. Just do a search for pay-per-click and you will find lots of programs to choose from. Link exchanges are a good way to get your site seen for free. You simply find other sites that would be of interest to your target audience, and contact the site owner to find out if he or she would be interested in trading links. If so, you place their link on your website, and they do the same for you. Something you can do online or off is donate prizes to be given away. All sorts of organizations hold raffles, and they usually accept donations to give away as prizes. Your business name and donated prize will be on the website or raffle ticket for all to see. The winner will receive one of your fine products or services, which they will surely tell their friends about. Dont forget to include a business card, catalog, or brochure with the prize so that they can come back for more! These are just a few ideas to help you get the word out about your business without spending a fortune. You can also post tidbits about your business on online forums, and of course talk about it every chance you get. And always remember to provide good customer service. The best advertising of all is word of mouth from happy customers, and that doesnt cost a dime. Kristy Pruitt is the owner of http://www.tbadeals.us, a resource site for work at home moms. Top 7 Secrets to Marketing a Small Business

Anyone in the world
By Lance Winslow Have you ever considered that you are not achieving all you wish to in your small business? Have you thought to yourself; I want more sales, more customers, less stress and more cash flow? Well, if you have I can assure you that you are not alone and many a small business consultant has stated; It is all about cash flow. Indeed and neither you or I would attempt to disagree with such obvious comments about small business challenges. The secrets to small business marketing are not necessarily what you might imagine, as so much is arbitrary and community based. You need to start considering that referrals, word of mouth and buzz are what you need. Your business needs to be the topic of conversation at the dinner table, not merely a placement in the linear two-dimensionality of a newspaper, brochure or sign. The secrets to small business marketing are grass roots based and much longer lasting relationships; Connections, which involve networking and community involvement and action. Public relations and help with local non-profits and memberships in local Chamber of Commerce are some of the best marketing you can do and although you may only see partial results immediately, you will over time see you business grow and see the strength of these efforts.
