Course Objectives - By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

1.  List five methods to decrease vascular access complications and increase vascular access performance

2.  Describe nursing best practices for aseptic technique during catheter care

3.  Examine three causes of early catheter dysfunction

4.  Describe treatment considerations for infected hemodialysis catheters
